PRODUCT DETAILS
132kv Porcelain Lightning Arrester is a critical protective device designed for medium and high voltage power systems playing a key role in power system protection. It is mainly composed of a high-quality porcelain housing zinc oxide varistor core and end fittings. The porcelain housing features excellent insulation performance which can effectively resist external environmental impacts such as rain snow dust and ultraviolet radiation ensuring stable operation even in harsh outdoor conditions.
When lightning strikes or voltage surges occur in the power grid the zinc oxide varistor inside the arrester quickly switches from a high resistance state to a low resistance state guiding the excess surge current to the ground. This process prevents the overvoltage from damaging transformers circuit breakers and other key power equipment thus safeguarding the integrity of the power grid. Compared with traditional arresters the 132kv Porcelain Lightning Arrester has a lower residual voltage which further reduces the risk of equipment breakdown during voltage fluctuations.
The porcelain material is corrosion resistant and the zinc oxide varistor has good aging resistance allowing the arrester to maintain reliable performance for more than 20 years with minimal maintenance. It is widely applied in 132kv transmission lines substations and industrial power distribution systems. By effectively suppressing overvoltage issues it helps improve grid stability and reduces the frequency of power outages. For power utilities and industrial enterprises that rely on stable electricity supply the 132kv Porcelain Lightning Arrester is an indispensable device to ensure the safe and efficient operation of power systems.
It is a device used to protect electrical equipment or electronic systems from high transient overvoltage hazards such as lightning overvoltage and operating overvoltage. Its core function is to protect equipment insulation and operation safety by limiting the overvoltage amplitude, discharging lightning current or operating overvoltage energy, and restoring the system voltage to normal levels.
